Individual therapy is for anyone who feels they may need some extra help dealing with thoughts, behaviours or emotions that are troubling.

Some reasons why people go to therapy:

  • Addiction (Drug, Alcohol, Sex, Pornography)

  • Anger issues

  • Anxiety

  • Phobias

  • PTSD (Post traumatic stress disorder)

  • Trauma

  • Stress

  • Unexpected mood changes/ mood swings

  • Unresolved guilt or shame

Other reasons to seek therapy:

  • Going through big change

  • Withdrawal from things you once used to love doing

  • Feeling isolated

  • Feeling like you’re losing control

  • Sleeping patterns are off

  • Support / coping with loss: Loss is often a common reason people seek therapy, whether the loss of a loved one, a relationship break up, or losing your job, all of these situations require support.

  • Self-exploration – you want to gain a deeper understanding of yourself (this can often be the case when searching out new careers, relationship or personal goals)

  • You just want to talk to someone who will listen and not judge you.
