The first time can always be a bit scary because it is a new experience. However I will do my best to make you feel at ease, and will providing a great space where you can feel un-judged and yourself.

  • What happens in the first session?

We will talk about what you has brought you to counselling, your goals and what you want to achieve, your view of the problem and how it’s affecting you. We will discuss possible solutions or options and identify useful strengths and resources.

Together we can figure this out when we first make contact. If I’m not able to help you I will be able to guide you to the right counsellor.

That is a tough question to ask as everyone is different. For some people it may be 6 sessions, for others it may take longer. In some cases clients may be very long term.

Normally a session will be approximately 50 mins, however sessions may go longer.
